Selamat oman mading me mung ilu, tuwi kecet tekak ngening dau denga senganak telu Abun Sui polis un tangkap. Ngan pempau Tuhan ia lepas dibebaskan jam 3 kerempam re, Baca detail mengenai hal ji kaie.

Last night after Abun Sui the land rights lawyer was detained at Miri airport at 8.30pm for carrying CDs suspected of being seditious 6 KDN officers came to SADIA’s office around 11.30pm and carted away over 1000 CDs from the office and the car belonging to Nicholas Mujah, the Secretary General of SADIA. Nicholas and 2 others were asked to go to Satok police station where the KDN officers later decided to lodge a police report against Nicholas for Film Censorship Act violation. The KDN officers spent 2 hours counting and resealing boxes of the CDs which they took together with 2 duplicators. Lawyer See Chee How came to the aid of the group from the time the police came to SADIA’s office. Later another lawyer and Padungan Assemblyman Dominic Ng came after the 3 were finished at the Satok police station around 3.30am. Mujah was brought to KDN office to give a statement while the rest of the group waited at a cafe outside. After Mujah finished around 4.30am he was taken to Simpang Tiga `1 stop police station’ to get a senior police officer to sign a bail for Mujah. There was no police officer to do it at Simpang Tiga-and so the group waited till around 5.30am before someone came to finished the drama last night, while most Sarawakians slept through the drama. But the event were updated at Facebooks by a few bloggers who probably stay awake to keep abreast of the developments.

Around 3.30am the news came that lawyer Abun Sui was released on police bail while the police investigate him for Sedition Act violation. Prior to this he was detained at the airport by 12 waiting police, perhaps alerted by the scan of his luggage at Kuching airport where he took a flight to Miri. The police sat through with him to watch the CDs, and perhaps from the info on the CDs, sent another team to track down SADIA.

The penalty for Film Censorship Act violation carry a penalty from Rm1500.00 to RM10 000.00, if found guilty. Both Nicholas and Abun Sui were asked to report back to police on Feb 7th.
